Customs: Keeping you compliant and saving you money

By Paul Kelly in Blog Posted: 25th, January, 2023

For three decades we have been supporting importers and exporters through the customs clearance process; safeguarding compliance, protecting cashflow and building supply chain resilience.

Our customs experts in the UK, Europe and United States ensure that our customers are compliant with HMRC and overseas tax authorities, helping them to avoid any pitfalls and identifying opportunities for efficiencies and savings.

They ensure that tariff codes are correct, advise on the most beneficial Customs Procedure, calculate duty and VAT payable, deal with cargo clearance at the port/airport and liaise with border agencies, where inspections or documentary checks are required.

Minimising cost – We ensure that the correct tariffs and customs values are applied, and that available free trade agreements are fully utilised, to reduce the risk of paying unnecessarily high fees.

Safeguarding compliance – Our record in keeping our customers compliant is underlined by the Trusted trader programmes (AEO, CTPAT) which accredit us and further increase the benefits of good control and overview.

Supply chain resilience – Well planned and efficient customs handling increases predictability at the border, to create reliable, cost-efficient product flows, which strengthens supply chain resilience, increases margins and enhances risk management.

We combine our customs expertise and industry knowledge to deal with the complexities of border controls and customs regulations for a variety of sectors, including foodstuffs, eCommerce and industrial.
